How To Watch 2023 ZOZO Championship: Will American Fans Get Access to the Prestigious PGA Tour Event?

The week for the international tournament of the PGA Tour has come. This week, in a joint venture with the Japan Golf Tour Organization, the PGA Tour will be hosting the Zozo Championship. It is the only tournament that is held in Japan. The event is being played at Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in China, Japan from 19 to 22 October. This is the 5th edition of the event.

With the match being held so far away, some fans are worried about getting hold of the event. For those American fans who don’t want to miss the match but also cannot travel to Japan, there is good news. The event will be televised and can be enjoyed from the comfort of one’s living room. Here is how you can catch it.

Where to watch the Zozo Championship

The Zozo Championship is among the newest events on the PGA Tour. In 2019, the first trophy was claimed by Tiger Woods and last year it was won by Keegan Bradley. This year, on the occasion of its 5th edition, the tournament promises no restrictions on gallery attendance, regarding mask-wearing, or cheering during the competition, just like the pre-pandemic match of 2019.

The prize purse for the event is $11,000,000, and the winner also gets to enjoy 500 FedEx points. The event promises to keep fans entertained. Here’s how to watch it.

Last year, Golf Channel provided exclusive TV coverage, and Golfchannel.com and NBCSports.com streamed it online. This year there is a change in the broadcasting platforms. This week, Golf Network and Golf Network+ will broadcast the event on their channel. The event will be televised from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the channels for all four rounds from Thursday to Sunday. The third round on Saturday will be extended until 5 p.m. For the final round on Sunday, the timings will be extended until 6 p.m.

The live stream will be done by the U-NEXT program guide, where people can watch the match on demand. The streaming time for Thursday and Friday is from 12 PM to 4 PM. For Saturday the timing is from 12 PM to 5 PM and for Sunday it will be from 12 to 6 PM. The match will also be available on the local Japanese channel BS Asahi.

What kind of tickets are available for the tournament?

The tickets can be purchased from Zozo Championship’s official website. With only a handful of days remaining, the 4th phase of ticket sales is on a first-come, first-served basis for ZOZOTOWN members. Ticket sales for each round end on the day of the match. There are a variety of different tickets available in different ranges. Let’s take a look at them.

First is the one-day ticket. For the first and second rounds, it costs $67. For the third round, the cost is $87 and the fourth costs $94. The Front-row seat is next. This ticket offers the front row viewing areas throughout various parts of the course to watch the play of top players up close. This ticket includes a non-sale item cap with a design featuring the official tournament logo on the front and the PGA TOUR official logo on the back. Tickets for the final round are already sold out but people can purchase for the remaining three days. The first and second round sells for $180 and the third round for $214.

The Exciting zone is spread through 21 locations in the venue. It allows you to enjoy the match from the front-row viewing zone near the tees and greens. For Thursday and Friday, it costs $148, and for Saturday $167. Sunday is sold out.

The Grandstand seat which is for special grandstands installed next to the featured holes. Fans could enjoy a close watch of first-class players on the field from there. For the first and second rounds, it sells for $100. And for Saturday and Sunday, it’s $120 and $133.

Last, but not least, is the ticket with special merchandise that will give you memories and goodies to last a long time. With this ticket, you get a 1-Day ticket, a towel, a casino marker, and a pin badge. For Thursday and Friday, it will cost you $87 and for Saturday and Sunday it’s $107 and $114, respectively. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the venue on the day. With the promise of overwhelming energy and exciting moments over the weekend, the event is ready to kick off on Thursday.
