Paige Spiranac is one of the most popular sports influencers. So, it comes as no surprise that Twitter and Instagram are her bread and butter. The social media icon regularly posts on these platforms, especially Twitter, to keep her fans engaged and voice her opinion on certain topics. But of late, she’s had a bit of difficulty doing that. And the reason isn’t that she has nothing to say; in fact, her problem lies with the platform itself. She even recently vented to her fans about its issues.
Maxim 2022’s Sexiest Woman Alive has over 11 million fans across all of her social media. Twitter is by far her go-to when she wants to voice her opinion.

Paige Spiranac opens up about her Twitter problem
The ex-golf pro and her new co-host, Samantha Marks, recently released the latest episode of their podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige.’ In it, among other things, the two got to discussing Spiranac’s Twitter account. And boy did she have some pent-up feelings there!
After Elon Musk took over Twitter last year, he changed a few things. One of them was the new feature called ‘Twitter Blue,’ wherein people paying a subscription could be verified on the platform. The blonde model was facing an issue with exactly that.
The influencer wanted to upload a three-minute-long video during one of her discussions with her fans about PGA Teaching Professionals, but the site wouldn’t allow her to do so. “I couldn’t do it on the normal Twitter,” she claimed. “So, I had to upgrade and pay like $11 a month.” But that wasn’t the end of her problems, because even after opting for the monthly subscription, Spiranac’s account wasn’t verified.

Twitter blue leaves Spiranac feeling blue
Even after paying the fee, the Instagram model couldn’t upload her video, this time because she wasn’t verified. She was completely perplexed by what was going on. “I have my checkmark, but it says this isn’t a verified account,” she claimed, disappointed. “So, I got to get another checkmark now, because all I wanted to do was put that three-minute video.”

“I’m part of Twitter Blue now,” she announced. Musk’s Twitter updates hasn’t thrilled Spiranac at all. After all, it has hampered her ability to communicate important information to her fans. Her fans, on the other hand, hope to get back their social media star, who can post anything at any time. Spiranac certainly hopes so too.
