‘I Felt Safe With Him’: Elin Nordegren Once Spoke Heartwarming Words About Her Relationship With Ex Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren had a shocking divorce in 2010. The two split up following a controversy to which Woods later admitted. But the reason the two got married in the first place was love! It was told to People Magazine by Nordegren herself, who spoke about the divorce for the first time publicly.

Elin Nordegren spoke her heart out about Woods

Nordegren and Tiger Woods were married in 2004, but later got divorced in 2010. The ex-couple have two children together – Charlie and Sam. Woods had been speaking about his divorce and other personal life issues publicly for a long time. But it was the first time for his ex-wife to open up about her side of the story in front of the world.

When the interviewer asked her what drove her to marry Woods in the first place, she said, “I loved him, we had so much fun, and I felt safe with him. Our wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life.” She also told the magazine how she first met Woods. “We met through friends. I wasn’t interested at first,…I got convinced that we were a lot alike and agreed to a date.” said Nordegren.

She also mentioned that the biggest reason for her falling in love with the golf legend was because the two had a lot of fun together. Nordegren also expressed how hard it was initially to adjust to Woods’ celebrity life. She said that it was hard for her to always be in the eyes of the world. Unlike Woods, Nordegren described herself as “a pretty shy and private person.”

Nordegren’s reaction on the Tiger Woods controversy

“Absolute shock and disbelief,” she said. “I felt stupid…The word betrayal isn’t strong enough” Nordegren said that it was not only Woods who had betrayed her, instead, a lot of his friends who were also friends with Nordegren, allegedly knew what Woods was doing. But they never let it reach her. She described the feeling as her world falling apart.

When asked about how the nine months after her divorce had been, she said, “It is hard to describe the emotional roller coaster I have been on” Spiranac was in shock for a long tie after she found out. But the two decided to come to a mutual understanding for a better future for their kids.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are now friends and have moved on in their lives. The two are putting in all their effort to be the best parents for their children, and make their lives as stable as possible.
