As the PGA Championship approaches, golfers are trying their best to learn and enhance their skills. To help novice golfers learn from the greatest, the PGA Tour posted a classic exchange between Jason Day and Tiger Woods on its official Twitter account.

Even before Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas became buddies, the golfing community was well aware of Tiger Woods and Jason Day’s bromance. Day and Woods have frequently been spotted sharing golfing antics, supporting each other. Their conversation has come up again in the video. And now, based on the video, it appears that both of them are golf nerds, especially when it comes to the swing.

In the throwback video, the 35-year-old Aussie was showing his conversation with Tiger Woods to his pro-am playing partners. In it, Day asked Woods about keeping the right elbow out in front on the backswing. Woods replied: “Speed of arm plus body rotation on the downswing either fast or do not stop moving. But on the way back, it just needs to stay in front of your right hip on the way back.”

Then Day started to illustrate to his fellow players what Woods really meant. Day then showed them the swinging video that Woods had forwarded to him.“I Wish I could do this,” said Woods.

There are fiction nerds and anime nerds, and now we have golf nerds. The entire conversation was about arms, hips, rotation, and speed.“So that’s how our conversations go,” Day said at the end, smiling.

Will Jason Day play in the PGA Championship 2023?

For Day, the previous five years were challenging. Five years have passed since a former World No. 1 won a PGA Tour competition. With his efforts the previous year, he dropped to the 164th position in the OWGR in 2022. However, this year he is significantly succeeding, and with the victory at the AT&T Byron Nelson event, he snapped his 5-year winless streak.
