Tiger Woods’ recent announcement has caused an uproar in the golf world, only because this is his first competitive appearance after his horrific February car crash. More than us, though, his friends and family are delighted by this news and Justin Thomas has made that very clear.
Since the accident, Woods has remained in recovery, and any small revelation of this has made headlines. Moreover, over the last couple of days, we’ve had a lot of teasing over witnessing Woods in action. Finally, the 15-time major champion committed to the PNC Championship where he’ll be teeing it up again with his son Charlie.

Justin Thomas shares excitement to play alongside Woods
Sharing excitement was Woods’ fellow golfer and a close friend, Justin Thomas. Throughout the former’s healing journey, Thomas has been in close contact with him and regularly visited him. In his first interview of the year, Woods said to Golf Digest, “The Thomas’ and the Woods’ are like family. JT is like the brother I never had, and Charlie is like the little brother that JT never had.”
Moreover, Thomas will also be out at the PNC Championship next week, teeing it up with his father, Mike Thomas. The duo were the winners last year and will hope to repeat history. So, JT is not only happy to see him in action but also to play a round of competitive rounds with him! Moreover, he’s seeking a tiny bit of the credit for himself and other golfers.

Justin said, “I’m pumped man! Freaking awesome to see the progress he’s made and I think him out last week at the Hero seeing all of us gave him a little pep in his step. After seeing where Charlie played from last year Tiger might only need his wedge and putter anyway.”

The last line might not be entirely false. The previous year, 11-year-old Charlie put up quite a show, stealing the spotlight away from his 62-time PGA Tour winner father. And this time, we’re hoping for the same. Another Woods to carry on the legacy, right?
