LIV Golf has been in controversy for a long time now. Greg Norman has done a commendable job at gathering the most talented players from the PGA Tour to join his league. LIV has made huge monetary deals with the golfers, thanks to the support from Saudi Arabia. However, the league is reportedly not earning a lot of money yet. And Donald Trump’s son-in-law is trying his best to help Norman find sources to make money for the league.

Trump has been a supporter and a friend of Norman and his Saudi-backed league. He recently announced and hosted LIV Golf events at his Bedminster golf club. And now, supporting him is Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Kushner has many connections with the LIV Tour and is currently trying to secure the perfect deal with Paramount to get their media rights.

LIV Golf President, Atul Khosla, recently agreed to the fact that LIV Golf is going to earn its major income from media rights and broadcasting. Taking the goal forward, Kushner recently contacted one of the top executives at Paramount to discuss LIV’s interest in gaining their media rights.

Money has never been an issue for Norman or LIV. With Saudi Arabia’s ‘Petrodollars’, Norman can afford almost anything in the golf world. Khosla also mentioned in his statements that LIV Golf is not going to fall even if it doesn’t make much profit this year. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see if Paramount agrees to sign a deal for the alleged ‘blood money’.

According to a source, Kushner made a call to one of his US media contacts to secure a media rights deal with Paramount. The source was unaware of the person on the other side of the phone. However, Kushner didn’t need much time to introduce himself. “One phone call. Totally informal. It lasted a very short amount of time to make an introduction,” the source said.

But that is not all that Kushner has to do with a business that Saudi Arabia owns. Last year, Kushner successfully attained a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The deal has helped in the funding of the LIV league to a big extent. But so far, LIV Golf has been streaming its matches on YouTube. However, there are high chances that Greg Norman might attain media rights from Paramount.
