The 29-year-old couldn’t help but sing praise for the 2024 PLAYERS Championship winner saying,  “I’m fully aware of where Scottie is. I’ve seen it the last two years,” alluding to the eight wins he raked in in 2022. Moreover, Rahm went ahead to dub Scheffler as “a great competitor” as he conveyed, “He is somebody that when you’re under the gun and you’ve got to get it done, he’s been able to get it done.” Aside from that, he even praised the American for his accolades in the game: “Anytime you’re doing the history he’s been able to do, it’s quite impressive.”

Adding on, the two-time major champ said, “I don’t need to be playing next to him to know what’s going on.” But even so, the Spanish golfer couldn’t help but point out how the PGA Tour Pros and the LIV golfers playing together will inevitably lead to fun major championships, including the upcoming Masters Tournament, for every player and spectator alike.

Scheffler, after the four rounds, could only register a score of 4-under 284, all the while placing himself at T10. This was not enough to beat the Spanish professional, who dished out a 12-under 276. Consequently, this led to defending champion Scheffler presenting the Green Jacket to the golfer. However, at the previous edition of the event, he had a much better finish, if not the best in the field.

Meanwhile, back in 2022, the 27-year-old emerged victorious at the Masters Tournament, thereby claiming his first major win. He did so by scoring a total of 10 under 278 over the four days of play. What’s more, he carded a total of 21 birdies over the course of the tournament.
