Golf fans react to Reed’s downfall
Not just Reed, even his fans do not seem to be taking this on a positive note. Even though most of his fans are happy to see him cradling a golf stick again, they still had better hopes and expectations set for him. And that is why this disappointment in them is not a surprise. After setting several records on the PGA Tour and many others, playing at so many different courses, and hitting remarkable shots, a career downfall as such can bring a mix of reactions from the fans.
Even though some people seem to have taken the news badly, a lot of them also came to support him and even ‘defend’ him to say the least. Going from being in the top golf players in the world to the top 50 (even if it is at the bottom of the barrel), is a drastic move.
Even with the allegations, one can’t deny that his performance shall always remain memorable in the world of golf. His journey from being an overachiever at 27 to being an underachiever at this stage of his career has surely gotten people at least talking about him again.
