Saudi-backed golf league is trying to recruit the best male golfers from the world to play for them. PGA Tour has taken the initiative ‘PIP’ to reward the most engaging golfer on social media. Phil Mickelson is complaining that the PGA keeps the media rights and does not distribute them among its players. Meanwhile, LPGA Tour players struggle to meet the ends!
A new Twitter post from Lisa Cornwell put light on how different the life of the PGA and LPGA players are. Cornwell tweeted:
All this talk about Phil Mickelson, Saudi Golf, LIV Golf, PIP, etc. reminds me:#LPGA players don’t even get health insurance — they get a $1850 (yearly) stipend toward their insurance.

The female counterparts don’t receive the retirement compensation and medical cover that the PGA Tour players enjoy. To understand, a comparison between the career earnings of male and female golfers is more than enough.
Annika Sorenstam is the first on the list of career earnings as an LPGA player. She has earned $22,577,025 from 304 events. While this is what the most an LPGA player has earned, it is nothing compared to the PGA players.
Carl Pettersson has earned $22,688,674 so far in his PGA career. Pettersson is the 75th in order of the PGA Tour career earnings list.

How much has Phil Mickelson earned from the Tour?
Mickelson has earned over 13 million in the last five years from PGA. Notably, this includes nothing but the tournament earnings of the male golfer. Since he was the winner of the PIP by the Tour, he also received another $8 million last year.
