To provide a glimpse of the adorable pup to all the fans, Thompson recently posted a picture of Leo on her Instagram story. With over 570k followers, the golf legend has made sure that her dog is as famous as numerous other celebrities. And with her birthday coming up on February 10, the picture looked no less than a pre-birthday celebration with the little pooch.
The LPGA Tour professional has won 15 tournaments along with 2 Ladies European Tour titles. And it might be surprising for some of her fans, but she highly credits her dog for keeping her happy and motivated to win tournaments.
The golf world showed her no mercy whenever she missed the cut. But according to her, Leo was the only one who gave her the same love despite her disappointing professional performances. “No matter what I shoot, this guy is giving me kisses,” she once said. Moreover, she also once highlighted all the things she had learned from Leo.

While most fans might have missed noticing, Thompson mentioned how Leo had unruly ears. And for that reason, she fell in love with him even more! And that somehow helped her realize how people were busy hiding their flaws and fixing things for the world to accept them. “I mean, everybody has imperfections. We’re all not perfect and we have to own it. Own it and love who you are,” she claimed.
It is clear that her dog means the entire world to the golfer. She even brings the little guy to professional tournaments and was seen lifting him after her victory at the 2018 CME Group Tour Championship.
