At the age of 26, Lydia Ko has won over the world. On second thought, let us just correct ourselves here. She won over the world at 17, climbing to the top spot in the Rolex World Ranking, becoming the youngest player ever to do so in both the PGA and LPGA Tour. The two-time Major winner since then has garnered 19 LPGA Tour wins, including two Majors under her belt.

Currently teeing off at the Annika Driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, what is the equipment she is banking on? Ko signed a multi-year deal with PXG back in 2017. However, when the term ended last year, she decided to try out different clubs. Although she mostly carries Titelist kits in her bag, the 26-year-old golfer sports different renowned brands.

For tee shots, the 18-time LPGA Tour winners use a Titleist TSR 3 with a 9 Kubo Kage shaft. She is not known for hitting long tee shots. Her average driving distance of 251 yards puts her in the 115th spot on the list of strongest hitters on the LPGA Tour.

Ko is well aware of this fact, and her main aim is to reach the fairways. If you want to tee off with the same club as the Kiwi golfer, you need to shell out $599.

In the Fairways Woods, Ko’s preference is against a Titleist product. This time she picks Titleist TSI2, 15 Loft, worth $549. Interestingly, despite splitting with PXG, she still has PXG 0341 X Gen 2 Fairway Wood in her bag. Aside from these, Ko also has a Ping G425 with a 65 R1 shaft for her hybrids. This is priced at £199.00 ($242 US).

As for Irons, again, the 2022 CME Group Tour Champion prefers Titleist. Her pick is Titleist T200 5-irons. However, the two-time Major winner prefers to use hybrids over iron. So there is only iron in her bag.

Titleist Vokey SM9 is her pick for difficult wedge shots. However, there is a slight catch. Her Vokey SM9 is bent to 59 degrees because of the versatility it offers. “I’ve tried both 58- and 60-degree wedges, but I found the 59 is best because of its versatility,” GolfDigest quotes the golfer as saying.

Putting is where the Seoul-born golfer has always shined. Her putting average of 28.90 puts her in the fourth spot on the LPGA’s list. Moreover, with 1.75 putts per GIR, she is in the second position on the LPGA’s stats book. The former world no. 1 keeps her faith in Scotty Cameron P5 GSS for putting. P5 costs $9,125 in the market. Aside from these, the 26-year-old LPGA pro also uses a Titleist Pro V1 and V1x golf ball.

This is what Lydia Ko’s kit looks like when she is on the greens. She is still a free agent as of this season. However, a sponsorship deal might change how her arsenal looks in the coming years.
