In February, Tiger Woods was involved in a single-car accident, which left him severely injured and in the hospital for months. He suffered from multiple leg injuries, still in recovery after months. While the 15-time major winner is moving towards complete recovery, there are no reports confirm his return to the course any time soon.
Fans and other golfers are often talking about missing Woods, the game somehow incomplete without the 45-year-old. There have been a few updates, assuring everyone that Woods is indeed doing better. The most recent update comes from Team USA’s captain Steve Stricker, who is currently preparing for the Ryder Cup later this month.

What does Steve Stricker have to say about Tiger Woods’ recovery?
While speaking with SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio, Stricker spoke in detail about his interactions with Woods and how he has been doing. Of course, everyone wants to know about Woods’ condition — including his return. As per Stricker, the golf icon is still recovering.
“He is progressing. He is doing well. Things are moving in the right direction,” he said, explaining how he talks to Woods as the latter is always a part of their Ryder Cup family.

Woods’ unfortunate circumstances won’t let him work as the captain’s assistance, but cannot stop him from helping them if they need any help from afar. Stricker explained that Woods is still in rehabilitation, and is trying to get better with the goal of being able to play golf again. “And that is going well”.

Stricker went to explain that they have had a number of talks till now, and Woods continues to support them despite not being physically present. “He is a great guy to talk to; he is a great guy to lean on”.
Woods has made no appearances after his accident and was once spotted while going to his doctor’s appointment. He last played the 2020 Masters Tournament, finishing T38.

The Ryder Cup will begin on September 24, lasting for three days. Stricker recently announced his six picks for the roster, garnering a positive response.
