Like any other sport, right-handers dominate golf. Left-handed golfers occasionally make it big in the game. But ambidextrous golfers are a rare sight in the sport. Able to play the game using both hands, there aren’t many players of such kind in the game. But a recent video of NFL quarterback Jalen Hurts looks to have added another golfer to the ambidextrous squad.

Jalen Hurts shows signs of Ambidexterity

In a video shared by the PGA Tour, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is seen taking a swing in an indoor golf environment. Looking elegant sporting a cap and cooling glasses, Hurts beautifully swings the club right-handed.

But in the next scene, he takes up a left-handed stance but doesn’t make a fool of himself, hitting the ball as cleanly as a whistle. Hurts is naturally a right-handed player, and the difference is evident in his drives. Nonetheless, the official Twitter handle of the PGA Tour was left impressed with Hurts’ ambidexterity, immediately posting the video on their account.

Others were less appreciative of Hurts’ shots, but one user pointed out the use of the same club for both shots, which left him impressed. Here’s a selection of those tweets.

Are there any ambidextrous golfers among professionals?

While there might be such hidden talents across the field, pros stick to their stronger hand to give their best chance to compete. But that hasn’t stopped some of them from flaunting their eccentric skills on the internet.

One of them includes the 2020 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau. The LIV golfer took up the challenge at a similar indoor facility a few years ago. While he has since left the PGA Tour, the 29-year-old swung cleanly with a left-footed stance, before immediately turning around and driving a ball in his usual way. But funnily enough, his club’s head was in a downward position on his second attempt, which ultimately wasn’t an issue for the talented golfer.

Who else do you think can perform well as an ambidextrous golfer? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
