She was recently on a podcast and was asked about her opinion on playing a tournament with male golfers. And her response to the question was enough for the fans to know how confident she is about her game and women’s golf.

Nelly Korda shared her views about co-op tournaments with male golfers

Nelly Korda was in conversation with Gary Williams along with her sister, Jessica Korda, on an episode of the ‘5 Clubs Conversation’ podcast. And during the conversation, Nelly was asked about her views regarding a potential event that could be played with male and female golfers together. Williams mentioned that there were talks about players being signed up for such a tournament. However, no such tournament has taken place yet.

But according to Nelly, the players including herself weren’t informed about any such event. Though on the other hand, she would love to be a part of any such event if planned. She said“I mean that would be a super-exciting opportunity for women’s golf… I think that’s kind of a stage…for us to continue growing” Korda was very excited about having one such tournament where men and women could play together. She added, “I think that would be really exciting to be put on a stage like that… To push women’s golf forward, we…need to be out on a stage like that”.

Although Jessica Korda was also present during the conversation, she didn’t speak much about the matter. However, she seemed to agree with what her sister said about having such an interesting event. They also talked about the existing tours and how they have had similar events in other countries including Australia and Ireland.

Korda got emotional over a recent victory

Nelly Korda recently won the Pelican Women’s Championship on Sunday and was all over the news for her massive comeback. The LPGA Tour pro has had a really tough year, and her victory was enough to cheer her up once again. However, during her post-match interview, Korda couldn’t hide her emotions for long and shed a few tears talking to the reporter.

“It’s been really nice to see my parents,” she said. “It’s been a tough year. Lots of ups and lots of downs. Missed two cuts…” Korda explained how she had been working very hard even on her days off the course. And her tournament victory was more than just a win for her since. Korda’s win has made it clear to the fans that the player is back in her best form. And that she is going to be a tough competitor for all her rival once again.
