Fans often have to pick and choose between many sports because of simultaneous matches. Many people are unaware that athletes face the same problem. For example, a pro golfer who enjoys watching football will seldom be able to catch a game because Sunday is the final round for golf as well as NFL days. The reigning Augusta Champion, Scottie Scheffler, is one such athlete. He recently opened up about how he feels about having to miss many major NFL moments.

The PGA Tour pro has never failed to get honest with the public. Be it about the OWGR and his ranking, or about his NFL team, he always gets candid. And fans do love that.

Tour pros only play on Sunday if they make the cut in either the second or third round. In fact, he added that when he wasn’t competing on the course, he never missed a single Cowboys game.

During the Pro-Am this week, the defending champion got lucky. The PGA Tour pro got to play alongside former Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith. “I’d never met him before, so that was really cool,” said the PGA Tour star. “[It] was a lot of fun.”

The golf pro added that he had all sorts of questions for the NFL legend. “Just little random stuff,” he stated, describing what he asked Smith. “It’s kind of fun just getting a little peek into his mind.” Luck had smiled upon the die-hard Cowboys fan this week. Scheffler certainly hopes that that continues till Sunday so that maybe he can defend the title and win his first Tour event in the 2023 season.
