Ko gave a tough fight to the top contenders in the tournament. But eventually, the golfer settled for T6 with a final total of -16. It was definitely not a bad score, but with the top player, Lilia Vu, at -22, it was not enough to beat the winner. Undoubtedly, the golfer was sad about losing the tournament after being so close to claiming the title. And to express her emotions, Ko took to Instagram and posted a picture with her husband with an emotional caption.

“He’s not my other half, he’s my everything…current status: missing my husband”, she wrote under a beautiful picture of herself and her husband Jun Chung. The two married last year five days after Christmas in South Korea. Chung has been a very supportive partner for Ko, personally and professionally. The golfer’s husband was cheering for her at the CME Group Tour Championship in November, which Ko won!

And maybe that was why the athlete missed Chung even more after she couldn’t make it to the top at the recent event. Well, one only learns the value of winning after losing a few times. And Ko, being one of the best players on the LPGA Tour, definitely knows how it feels both to win and lose important tournaments! Luckily, she has got a wonderful partner to back her during professional tournaments.
