Days After Her $181,723 Success, Charley Hull Honors Her ‘Main Man’ With a Heartwarming Message

Charley Hull had a thriving career on the LPGA Tour this season with five top-ten finishes and the list included majors like US Women’s Open at Pebble Beach and AIG Open Championship, where she stood second in both tournaments. Even recently, she finished at T2 in the Kroger Queen City Championship, where Minjee Lee came out triumphant and received a hefty payout of $300,000.

Now, in her journey to this greatness, a friend on course has supported her through all the thicks and thins. And recently, Hull has been noticed celebrating the vital contributor behind her triumphs throughout the years.

Charley Hull recently made an appearance at the Kenwood Country Club where she showcased a stellar performance throughout the game and tied a total score of 16-under par at the end of four rounds with Minjee Lee. Now, to break that tie a playoff round took place. 

Ultimately, as the playoffs ended, Minjee Lee finally took the trophy home with a lead of one stroke over Charley Hull. As a result, the six-time professional winner landed in the second place and garnered a heavy payout of $181, 723.

Now, after her latest success, Charley Hull posted a picture of her biggest acquaintance has been accompanying the LPGA star since 2015 and has been a constant at Kenwood Country Club as well. She posted an Instagram story with her long-time bagman, Adam Woodward. In the picture, both can be seen sharing a friendly team spirit with each other.

Furthermore, she wrote, “Happy birthday to the main man top caddy and proud to call you one of my best pals. Top G.49 years young @woodward9488”. Hull expressed her heartiest words on the occasion of Woodward’s birthday.

Charley Hull’s performance in the Kroger Queen City Championship

Charley Hull gave quite the competition to the LPGA star Minjee Lee in the Kroger Queen City Championship. Hull had an opening round of five birdies, along with an eagle on the 12th hole. Then in the following round, she carded four birdies and secured a total of 68 at the end of the round. 

Then in the third round, her gameplay faltered a bit, and she took three extra strokes on hole one and ended at a score of 68 again. Finally, in the last round, she had two bogeys on holes 10 and 12. Her total score after four rounds tied at 272 with Minjee Lee. Thus, in order to get a winner, a playoff round took place and Minjee Lee came out as the winner.
