It seems the duo are at it again! The golf world has witnessed many golfers engaging in some sort of tussle or bickering over the years. Similar was the case between friends Billy Horschel and Ian Poulter back in 2022. However, it appears they are at it once again but, this time, the friendly fire seems to have taken place over social media.

The LIV golfer had earlier taken to his X handle to reply to statistics, all the while claiming how the stats are wrong since he himself boasts the same “swing speed” that is mentioned in them. However, the PGA Tour pro had enough and decided to humorously bring his friend down a notch, and that too, using proper proof no less!

The 47-year-old had, a while back, responded to a comparison of data between various golf balls and their distance covered using a driver at 115 MPH. Moreover, the LIV golfer hilariously claimed how he has the same speed but carries it 290-295 yards as opposed to the absurd stats provided without stating “launch conditions.”

Well, his friend on the other tour did not let it be as he responded to the tweet posted by the 2018 Houston Open Champ. However, he did so in a humorous manner, no less by dishing out concrete evidence provided by the PGA Tour themselves.

In the post by the 7X PGA Tour champ, he hilariously mentioned how the defector must be “one of those guys that over exaggerate their club head speed.” Moreover, he did so while listing out his “average club head speed” in the previous two seasons, all the while sharing a greeting of the season with the player in the Saudi-backed league. Well, a “Merry Christmas” it is for Poulter!

However, this is not the first time that these two have engaged in a spat of sorts. They were spotted having less than what can be called a ‘friendly interaction’ on the greens last year!

The two had engaged in a small spat during the 2022 BMW PGA Championship at the Wentworth Club. Although the two athletes later emerged unscathed from the squabble, it did grab a lot of headlines back then. A lengthy video showcased the duo arguing on the course. Despite the voice of the recording being inaudible, the manner of interaction suggested a tussle between the two.

However, the pair themselves came forward to reveal the details regarding the same while highlighting their friendship. Poulter mentioned how he is still the PGA Tour pro’s friend despite him having a difference in opinion regarding LIV Golf and its players, while Horschel, later on, divulged how they were having a conversation regarding his critical comments about the PIF-funded circuit.
