Bryson DeChambeau is probably one of the best putters on the PGA Tour. Moreover, the 28-year-professional was among the group of professionals who came out and spoke about the banning of green books. However, recently Claude Harmon spoke about how Bryson was the main reason why green books were banned.

Golf rules can sometimes be really tough for golf professionals. One such ruling was to put an end to the use of green books for green reading. Moreover, Claude Harmon and John Graham spoke about how maybe Bryson was responsible for the ban on green books. Both the individuals spoke about the same on Claude’s podcast, namely Off Course with Claude Harmon.
Moreover, Claude and John also spoke about how he was doing more green solving, not green reading. For those of you who don’t know them. Claude is a famous golf instructor and John Graham is probably one of the most famous Aim-Point golf instructors.

Claude said, “I mean, obviously, they said they wanted to change that because of the time constraint. I personally think the only reason they changed that is because of Bryson. I think they were tired of Bryson constantly going back and forth to the book and taking so much time.”

John added, “I do think your point about Bryson is well stated. Most people would complain that Bryson was green solving and not green reading. Like he wasn’t actually trying to read the green he was just trying to solve for the answer. And some people didn’t, didn’t enjoy that as a part of a skill to the game.”
Which event did Bryson DeChambeau play last on the PGA Tour?
The Mad Scientist last played on the PGA Tour back in January. Bryson played at the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines South Course. The American professionals could not even make it to the weekend, and as a result, missed the cut at the event. He ended the event with an overall score of two-under-par as he carded a round of even-par in his second round.
