Despite everything he has been doing for his players, LIV golfers have been facing multiple setbacks in joining the league. Surprisingly, Augusta National made a shocking announcement allowing qualifying Saudi players to appear at the highly awaited Masters Tournaments this week.

In fact, the field now contains 18 LIV Golf stars potentially competing at the tournament. However, there is something else that has been bothering the golf shark.

According to his interview with Telegraph Sport, Norman is not being treated very well by Augusta National. “Funnily enough, I haven’t been invited,” he said. Not to forget, the golf star won two major championships in his career – The Open Championship in 1986 and 1993. “As a major winner I always was before, but they only sent me a grounds pass last year and nothing, zilch, this time around. I’m disappointed because it’s so petty but of course, I’ll still be watching.”

As per his statements, Augusta National has not sent him an invite to be part of the Masters Tournament. However, he is all set to celebrate at the 18th green in case a LIV Golf player wins the major championship!

Norman aims at unity among LIV Golf players at the Masters

The tournament is an individual event. But the LIV Golf CEO expects his players to act as a team and support each other. And he is pretty confident about it! “It’s not about me it’s about the players and I’m telling you they’re not going there as individuals. But as a team, backing each other, supporting and rooting for each other,” he stated.

Well, it is fair to say that there are high chances for fans to witness a LIV Golf player winning the Masters Tournament. Keeping in mind that the field contains LIV rebels including former champions Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, and Phil Mickelson, the competition is going to be pretty tough for all professionals.
