Over the course of a season, countless golf events are organized. Some work as smaller events in between highlighted tournaments, while some work as star-studded attractions. More often than not, Tiger Woods playing one round is more than enough for people to tune in.

With the PGA Tour legend back on the course, people are often excited to see him play. Of course, a more popular field draws in a larger audience. However, only a few tournaments are able to gather top players together. Naturally, such a field promises an entertaining few days for whoever tunes in.

This time, the upcoming JP McManus Pro-Am boasts an elaborate field, the perfect combination of amateurs and professionals.

Tiger Woods and Scottie Scheffler are amongst popular stars at JP McManus Pro-Am

Looking at the current field, the McManus Pro-Am might as well rival a major. Reports mention that if it was an OWGR sanctioned event, the winner could win 56 points. That is more than a majority of other PGA Tour events scheduled in the year.

The main attraction, of course, is the 14 former World No. 1 players ready to play. As of now, only the Master has been able to match the numbers. Brooks Koepka, Scottie Scheffler, Tiger Woods, and Dustin Johnson are only a few of the icons playing. Jason Kokrak, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Jon Rahm, and Ian Poulter are other stars who have committed to the field.
Niall Horan, Mark Wahlberg, Alan Hansen, and Jamie Dornan are a few of the celebrities ready to play alongside PGA Tour professionals.

More about the Pro-Am

The Pro-Am will be held in July and it focuses on charities working in Mid-Western Ireland. Like most events, the focus is to raise money and try to give back in an entertaining way. “It’s incredible to see how many players from across the world are coming to play in the Pro-Am,” said host JP McManus, thanking everyone involved.
