Jon Rahm’s defection to LIV Golf, no doubt, caused a lot of waves in the golf community. And, part of the same were the speculations surrounding Tony Finau and one other golfer making the jump with the Spaniard. However, Finau himself had come forward yesterday to dispel the rumors surrounding him joining the alternate tour.

But, even as the pro went ahead to refuse the same, another report has now gone ahead to shock the entire community. What’s more, as per sources, the professional is now reportedly being offered an exorbitant amount of money hinting at a rise in rumors surrounding an impending shift to LIV Golf once again, much to the surprise of the sporting world!

Yesterday, it seemed as if the PGA Tour had breathed a sigh of relief following Finau’s announcement. But now, it appears that they did it all too soon. Although the 34-year-old had driven off the speculations regarding his joining LIV Golf, he could come off as only half successful. However, they rose again the next day owing to a surprising offer, as per reports.

A post was uploaded by NUCLR GOLF mentioning how the golfer is allegedly “in talks to join LIV GOLF on Jon Rahm’s new team.” What’s more, as per sources, he might be looking at a “signing-on fee that sources indicate could top £50 million,” for his shift to the Middle Eastern circuit, equaling $53,867,500.

However, what’s interesting is the fact that the athlete has only earned a total of $37,379,004 on the PGA Tour as part of his winnings. But, the Saudi-backed league is, reportedly, offering almost double the amount of money to the 2023 Mexico Open champ. Consequentially, this has led to a rise in speculations surrounding his shift to the Spaniard’s new LIV Golf team once again.

This new piece of news must have come as a shock to many in the golfing world including the PGA Tour. Moreover, although a rumor, this would have been nothing short of a smack to the head for the men’s circuit, especially after his dispelling the same.

However, the 34-year-old came out earlier to end the same by mentioning how he hasn’t “let anything marinate other than just playing right now,” indicating his eagerness to play on the PGA Tour at the moment.

What’s more, he also made sure to congratulate and appreciate his colleague’s decision. Moreover, while responding to the Spaniard’s defection, the American divulged how he was happy for him as he supported the commitment made by the professional.
