John Daly is a legend. There’s no denying that statement for various reasons. While Daly is trying to play whenever he can on the Champions Tour, the 55-year-old ensures he never misses out playing the PNC Championship. That being said, he is currently in Orlando, Florida for the 2021 edition of the event.

John Daly and his son “Little John” have been coming to the PNC Championship for quite a few years now. Whenever they do, fans and fellow participants can always expect massive entertainment.

The PNC Championship pro-am took place on Friday with several notable names taking the field. Tiger Woods was there with his son, so was John Daly. However, the real party began after the conclusion of the pro-am.

Sir Nick Faldo was gracious enough to post updates from the celebration so that fans could get a glimpse of how it all went. The Christmas spirit was lively, and yes, you guessed it right – John Daly dressed up as Santa Claus!

Furthermore, #DalyClaus also gave the gathering another wonderful moment. He took out the acoustic guitar and performed a Bob Dylan classic – Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door. It’s a song that Daly has performed in the past, but it never disappoints to watch the latest rendition!

Tiger Woods and Charlie were also present at the celebration, but there was no footage of them enjoying the event. However, here’s a terrific photograph of Tiger and Charlie with the entire PNC field.

Boy, what a legendary picture that is!

It might seem hard to believe, but it’s been 26 years since John Daly won a major championship. The ‘Wild Thing’ won the 1995 Open Championship which was held at the Old Course at St Andrews.

Daly play consistently through four rounds but was forced into a playoff by Costantino Rocca. The organizers had pre-fixed four holes should the Championship go into a playoff – 1,2,17, and 18 (all par 4 holes).

John Daly kept his cool in the playoff and won via a three-stroke lead over Rocca. This marked his second major championship victory, and unfortunately, his last.
