Meet Andreas Athanasiou; Nelly Korda’s Boyfriend

Andreas Athanasiou is a Canadian professional ice hockey player, currently playing as a center for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on August 6, 1994, and is of Greek and Guyanese ethnicity. Aged 27, he is a couple of years elder than Korda, but their similar interests probably make up for the difference.

He joined his current team only at the beginning of the 2020 season. Prior to that, he played for the Detroit Red Wings for almost five years. Moreover, at the 2011 U-17 World Hockey Challenge, he was a part of the gold-medal winning team.

The couple started dating in 2019 and made their relationship public with a post on Instagram. Since then, the two have regularly featured on each-others social media.

Moreover, as their career grows, the two have continuously supported each other and have been regularly sighted at the other’s events. Athanasiou was also present for Korda’s fifth win at the Meijer LPGA Classic.
