PGA Tour veteran, Phil Mickelson, has been involved with the LIV Golf Invitational Series since the start, landing into direct trouble when his comments about Saudi and the league went public. While Mickelson ended up taking a break, it is clear that he is ready to be back and playing with the Saudi-backed league.

A major motivation for players, including Mickelson, has been the prize money and other benefits offered by the league.

That being said, Mickelson is easily one of the most successful golfers of all time. Not only does this include his performance on the course but also the amount of money he has made over the years. With the LIV Golf series involved, Mickelson might just earn more in a year than he ever has.

Is the LIV Golf Series going to make Phil Mickelson richer?

Currently, as per Celebrity Net Worth, Mickelson’s net worth is $300 million. He makes $50 million per year, as a result of the tours and his other endorsements. While the number does fluctuate, Mickelson’s net worth and overall earnings might not be affected. After all, a successful golfer like Mickelson always makes millions during their peak, and even later, during retirement.

Mickelson has won 45 PGA Tour titles in his career, which easily amount to millions in itself. Other wins, from other tours, surely contribute a significant chunk.

The LIV Golf series, however, might just be Mickelson’s highest-earning series yet.

As per reports, the series has already paid Mickelson a whopping $30 million. This seems like a pre-participation fee, which will remain valid only if he plays all eight events in 2022. What is more important, however, is that winning these events will be a cherry on top for Mickelson financially.

Even though the complete division of events is not known, the series is offering $250 million as the total price money. With each event offering around $20 million, Mickelson might be able to earn a maximum of $160 million approximately, if he wins each event. If not, a $100 million paycheck is a good possibility.

Surely, a $100 more million can alter his $330 million net worth. If the series continues, then Mickelson might have earned a billion in his career.
