It was a heartbreaking result for Wyndham Clark at the 50th PLAYERS Championship. On the 18th par-4 hole, Clark missed out on a birdie putt to tie the round and play against Scottie Scheffler for the win. However, the lip-out caused Clark’s dream to get shattered into a thousand pieces.

It’s not just that he lost the chance to attain his fourth PGA Tour victory but also ended up missing the opportunity to etch his name alongside Tiger Woods and could have tied with the 82-PGA Tour Champions 30-year-old record of becoming the reigning U.S. Open winner to win the PLAYERS Championship. Disappointing? Indeed! However, at such a time, Clark’s one young fan helped him put things into perspective, offering a kind of solace and reigniting hope with the golfer once again.
