“Head Up Brother”: Nick Kyrgios Sends a Touching Message to Frances Tiafoe After Citi Open 2021 Loss

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios is regarded as one of the most entertaining players on the Tour. He’s one of a kind and over the years has won the support of many fans from around the world. Besides, he’s one of the most talented players as well.
Recently, Nick Kyrgios teamed up with American player Frances Tiafoe at the Citi Open in Washington. They won their opening round match but failed to go deep as they crashed out in the following round. As long as they lasted, they gave a real exhibition experience to fans.
Kyrgios later went on social media and posted, “FOE x KYGS Always keep your head up brother. With all the shit we have dealt with we gotta keep moving forward.” It was a nice gesture by the Australian star to send a consolatory message to his teammate.

Nick Kyrgios suffers in singles
At the Citi Open, Nick competed in the singles event too. However, the defending champion suffered a shock by losing in the first round to American player Mackenzie McDonald. Tiafoe also crashed out of the tournament in the first round itself to American player Jenson Brooksby.
Kyrgios has not played many tournaments this season. He competed in Australia at the Open after nearly a year of absence. However, he lost in the third round in an epic match against Dominic Thiem. During that match, Nick was up by two sets before Thiem came and clinched the next three sets.
