The ‘Jack’ here is none other than Jack Sock, another one of Nick’s close friends. Sock had a woeful season in 2019 as it was mired with injuries and early exits from events. However, the American is now fit and back on the Tour once again. The two practiced together as they prepared for the tournament to kick-off.
The Delray event also houses a basketball court not too far from the player lounge. One more factor that makes it one of the more enjoyable events for Nick Kyrgios. An avid basketball fan, Nick makes it a point to play on the basketball too.
“Delray is somewhere I feel extremely comfortable. I always have one of my favorite weeks of the year. Obviously the basketball court is a big part of it.”

All eyes will be on Kyrgios as everyone waits to see how he performs after a good start to the season. The World No. 21 was forced to pull out of the New York Open last week due to issues with his shoulder tendon. But the man knows just how good he can be and is never really short of confidence.
“I’m always confident. I’ve pretty much beaten every player on the tour and I’ve done it my way, so confidence I don’t really lack.”
