It takes one to know one. For more than a decade, Stephen Curry has dominated the NBA. Not many players can boast about transforming the NBA landscape, but Curry is one of a select few. Curry became the first player to start a separate brand under the Under Armour umbrella, signed Sacramento Kings’ star De’Aaron Fox as the first athlete to the Curry brand, and achieved a lot more. However, now, he has chosen an up-and-coming women’s college basketball star as the second athlete to represent the Curry Brand – MiLaysia Fulwiley.

Fulwiley has taken women’s college basketball by storm. Her stellar performances for the University of South Carolina have made her a household name. She even became the first South Carolina freshman to be the MVP of the SEC Tournament. With her leading the team, South Carolina defeated reigning NCAA champions LSU to win the SEC title. Now, MiLaysia Fulwiley has become just the second athlete to represent the Curry Brand.

In an interview, Fulwiley expressed her feelings about joining forces with Stephen Curry. She said, “I decided to join Curry Brand because it felt like family,” said Fulwiley. “I’ve also been watching Stephen Curry since I was young and coming up playing on Team Curry. I’ve always had a close connection to the brand.” Fulwiley further described her relationship with Curry. She said, “It’s incredible to be able to have Steph around as a mentor and someone I can call. Not a lot of people have that opportunity, and I feel like through my hard work on and off the court, I’ve been able to put myself in this position. It means a lot to have him in my corner.”
