Boxing Icon Mike Tyson Teased His Infamous Move on an Ex-MLB Pitcher During a Rare Appearance in 2014

Mike Tyson, who is popularly or unpopularly known as “the baddest man on the planet,” stands as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in the history of the sport. Tyson has often made the news for rather controversial incidents. Amongst them was back in 1997, when he faced disqualification after mercilessly biting off a portion of the opponent Evander Holyfield’s ear.
As scary as it sounds, Tyson’s manifesto involved ferocious and intimidating boxing. At the same time, while Tyson and his various accolades have often been the topic of conversation in the ring, he once made the news for a unique gesture on a baseball pitcher.

Which classic Mike Tyson move did the legend pull?
Analogous to that, back in 2014, Tyson reached the Pittsburgh Pirates’ home ground, PNC Park, to promote a boxing event by throwing the first pitch. Decked in the Pirates’ uniform, the boxer successfully managed to locate the strike zone through his pitch.
In addition to a well-pitched ceremonious first-pitch strike, he pulled a classic Tyson move and pretended to bite the ears of the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher, Tony Sanchez.

Tony Sanchez had a short MLB career. He started with the Pirates in 2013 and was released by them in 2015. Atlanta Braves brought him on board in 2017 and released him, eventually. Since 2017, Sanchez hasn’t made any MLB appearances.
Pittsburgh Pirates since their last World Championship Ring
It’s been 43 years since the Pittsburgh Pirates last won the World Series. In fact, it’s been 43 years since the Pirates made a World Series appearance. After winning their fifth World Championship in 1979, the Pirates were amongst the top five teams with maximum World Series victories. But after long years of dismaying performances, they are now tied at number seven with the Cincinnati Reds.
Analogous to that, 2022 turned out to be yet another example of a disappointing and frail Pittsburgh performance. Consequently, they concluded their season with 100 losses and 62 wins at the second-last position in the National League Central Division.

After another regular season exit, the Pirates have now gone seven years without making the postseason.
