The demolition of one of the previous houses of the baseball legend Derek Jeter is in the headlines for quite some time now. People are coming from all over to see the great Tampa mansion for the last time before it comes down to dust.
Built on Davis Islands in Tampa, Florida, Jeter bought this house for $15.5 million in 2012. For privacy, the mansion has a six-foot wall on the boundary, which the local residents used to call “The Great Wall of Jeter.”

Jeter has sold the mansion last year for a whopping price of $22.5 million in May. The price is the highest for any property sold in the area. The residence is about to be reduced to dust any day now.

Before Derek Jeter built this house, the lot consisted of more than one house. Because of commercial purposes, the application of demolition is in process. If it does happen, it is likely that more than one house will be constructed on the property, as it were before Jeter bought the property.

Ever since Jeter bought and sold the mansion, the flood elevation requirements have increased too much. So, no matter the number of houses built on the property, it’ll be four to six feet higher than what it is now. Therefore, the neighbors will not be getting back the beautiful view of the Bay. NFL star Tom Brady also rented this mansion from Jeter in his first season with the Buccaneers.

What will be built on the property after the demolition happens is still unclear. However, it would be hard to create something similar to what it is right now.
The mega mansion consists of 7 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. To keep the people living in it healthy, the manor also has a gym. And for entertainment purposes, there is also a movie theater.

In addition to all this, there is a heated spa, two boat lifts, and a saltwater pool. Keeping all these things aside, the 22,000 square-foot property also contains ocean views of 345 feet.
