There’s no shortage of passionate people in the world, those who will shed blood, sweat, and tears for something. Sports fans can sometimes be like that – being part of something bigger than oneself is an incredible feeling. Since it’s one of the oldest sports in America, baseball commands the devotion of many. The New York Yankees, in particular, have a loyal fanbase owing to their longevity in MLB. And one fan is taking things to the next level this season.
The Yankees have been doing good in 2023, though some fans think they’re not up to their usual performance just yet. The newest franchise captain Aaron Judge seems to be doing well; he’s already at 5 homers for the season and recently even dethroned former captain Don Mattingly from 11th position for total career hits at 223. And as every game takes place, one woman is entertaining fans with her fervent gesture.

For every run the Pinstripes make, a woman is running a mile. Not for a game series, not home runs, but every. Single. Run. MLB Network reported the news, which the woman had originally posted on TikTok. The reporters certainly had fun discussing this bizarre gesture. Some of them surmised it couldn’t possibly be a healthy thing to run so much!

Roy Wood Jr., one of the hosts, certainly wasn’t having it. He pleaded with the woman, “Mam…running Yankee fan mam…run a mile for like every complete game. Or some other less frequent occurrence.” The host continued, “Is it right after the game? What if it’s a night game? Mam, stop it mam.”
