Aaron Judge Reveals How His Parents’ Upbringing Made “Picking Up Garbage” Fun During His Teenage Years

While raising Aaron Judge and his brother John, one thing that always stayed in the mind of their parents was that they wanted their sons to first become good people. Their first and foremost focus was only that while raising the duo. 

Whoever talks about Aaron in any manner always holds a sense of respect toward the man. No bad word is said against him. As a person and as a baseball player, Judge has achieved quite a lot in 30 years.

Judge’s parents knew early on about his interest in sports. Even then, they first taught him to be a good person. Judge also has utter respect and love for his parents. He showed this by giving his 61st home run ball to his mother. All Rise took all the teachings and learnings given to him by his parents and put it all in him to become the kind human and great baseball player that he is today. One such example of the outfielder’s humility was when he had to go with his basketball team to pick up trash.

Most kids do not think of trash picking as a bonding experience with friends, but then, Aaron Judge is not the same as most kids. He took all the teachings by his parents to his teen years when he with his basketball team used to pick trash up on the weekends.

“That was one of my favorite things to do. We all got up real early, had breakfast, and walked around the community picking up garbage. We had a lot of fun. It was a good bonding experience,” Judge said

From early on, Judge knew or had a hint of him being adopted because he knew that he didn’t look like his parents. But the thing that never changed for him was his parents’ love. He didn’t care if they didn’t give birth to him, he cared about the love that he gave him. 

How did Judge react when his parents told him about being adopted?

Considering from Judge’s side that he had a hint of it when he asked his parents about it, they finally sat him down and talked about it. When they told him the truth, Judge just wanted to clear his hints. He wanted to know the truth and wanted to go play. And that’s what he did.
