Many get this opportunity but fail to perform, which puts them in a difficult position. The responsibility becomes more difficult if it’s their rookie year, which Anthony Volpe is experiencing right now. The 22- year-old struggled with consistency, which put the hitting coach under fire, but has done well lately.

Given that it all happened after his chicken parm dinner with his former teammates, his change in form has become a center point of talking. Terming it as a general affair, Volpe said, “It’s kind of funny. It wasn’t anything more than going over some stuff. It wasn’t really that serious. We always have family dinners with people around and just get to talking.”

His comments came amidst his former teammate, a Yankees prospect, showing his desire to play alongside him. Somerset Patriots shared a video of Wells’s conversation with the media.

During this, he appreciated Volpe and said, ” It’s amazing. Seeing him perform even early on, it’s so cool to see him up there playing the game. I got to play with him in the last two years and hope to again this year. So I think it’s super cool to have him up there representing the younger guys, the younger prospects up there and doing what he does best.

As the case unfolded, fans could not hold themselves up.
