New York Yankees Fans Toss Up Far-Fetched Fantasy as Shohei Ohtani Shares a Moment With Derek Jeter’s Legendary Ex-Teammate

It would not be wrong to say that the Angels’ two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani is one of the best things ever to happen to the world of baseball. With only five years in Major League Baseball, Ohtani has already earned millions of fans in America. Needless to say, the heroics shown by him in World Baseball Classic has only made him even more famous. While talking about Shotime’s majestic moon shots and lightning-fast pitches, one can not forget that after the 2023 season, he will enter the waters of free agency. 

Even though it is still one MLB season away, it is not stopping the fans from tossing a fantasy that has a rare chance of happening. Amid the World Baseball Classic chaos, the iconic Shotime got clicked with Derek Jeter‘s legendary teammate CC Sabathia. As soon as the pictures hit Twitter, New York Yankees fans started talking about their far-fetched fantasy. 

Will Shohei Ohtani be a perfect fit?

Needless to say, Ohtani would indeed be a perfect fit for any team he chooses to go to. But the pictures showing Sabathia and Ohtani shaking hands and hugging each other sparked the rumors of CC recruiting Shohei Ohtani for the New York Yankees. 

It is true that the Yanks are in need of a good pitching lineup, and who better than Ohtani to help them create a power-pack roster? However, it is also a surety that the Angels would try their best to stop Ohtani from entering free agency by retaining him in the upcoming season.

But it still does not stop the New York Yankees fans from hoping that it does happen one day. 

Following are some of the Yankees fans’ reactions toward the legendary CC Sabathia, recruiting Shohei Ohtani to the Bronx.

Fans believe that if Sabathia is indeed on his way to recruiting, then he is doing a job much better than the Yankees’ front office. Although one thing is for sure, if by any chance, Ohtani decides to come to the Yankees, he will have the full support of the fanbase.
