Well, Bleacher Report’s Zachary D. Rymer brought into perspective an interesting possibility. This trade package would allow New York to have their rival – Houston Astros’ ace Framber Valdez. After they went for Carlos Rodon last off-season without bearing fruit due to his injuries, his records stand at 14 starts and an ERA of 6.85. Could this proposed trade actually make sense?

Were this to happen, the Yanks would have to bid farewell to their No. 3 prospect and outfielder Everson Pereira. This young player has played 27 big League games this year. Additionally, their No. 4 prospect, Chase Hampton, and No. 5 prospect, shortstop George Lombard Jr. would be on their way out. Isn’t that a hefty price to pay? Can the Bronx afford this, particularly after what they gave up for Soto?
