After sweeping the Baltimore Orioles in the NDLS, they are now leading the NLCS race against the Houston Astros, all thanks to their dominance in the first two games of the series. However, it seems there is a change in it.

Although the postseason has been great for the Rangers, the latest game was not in their favor. The team could not win it at home. Notably, the loss came in the presence of the famous band that lent them strength during playoffs. It also ended the luck cycle despite rising Spotify streams matching favorite vocals in Texas.

It was a unique occasion for the Texas Rangers. A season that could define their future. Thus, they required an unusual sport, which came through music. Notably, according to Pitcher Andrew Heaney, they found motivation from Creed during the low second half of the season. The clubhouse got the required and showed it against the Baltimore Orioles.

Intriguingly, when they revealed this to the public, the interest in the music of the rock band increased. According to a post from MLB Life, “Creed streams increased 175% on Spotify the day after the Rangers beat the Orioles to advance to the ALCS.”

It propelled the band to share its support for the Rangers. They showed it with their presence at the Globe Life Field. MLB Life focused on it and shared, “Creed is actually at the Astros-Rangers game tonight. Here they are checking in.”

It was an inspiration plus a fan moment. But could not materialize the way they would have liked it. It helped the team this time out as the Rangers lost the game 8-5 to the motivated Astros.

A momentum-breaking defeat halts NCLS winning run of Texas Rangers

The Astros dominated the season against the Rangers. Everyone expected it to be the case when the two were put against each other in the NCLS championship. But the Texas Rangers proved everyone wrong by dominating two games to lead it 2-0.

Given the winning run at home, the expectation of the Lone Stars making it to the World Series increased, but the latest defeat has put an end to those talks. Although they showed a great fighting spirit and team display, the pitching let the Rangers down. Max Scherzer had a disappointing outing that gave the Stars a lead.
