With the off-season winding down and the regular season getting closer, MLB stars are gearing up for the season. The New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge is one such player, working out and getting ready for the new season. But unlike all the previous seasons, the 2023 regular season will be a lot different for all teams. Yes, thanks to the new rule changes, a new era in baseball are set to start this year. And when talking about the new rules, the Yankees captain also weighed his opinions.
Like any other baseball player, Judge has been getting used to new rules and regulations that have been enforced. Judge even referenced one of the new rules in a cheeky reply during a Spring Training game.

During the New York Yankees’ latest Spring Training game, Aaron Judge was put on the spot while answering questions. Judge had answered a question earlier stating that The Looney Toones show was his favorite TV Show. When he was asked about his answer during his Spring Training game against the Washington Nationals, he mentioned the pitch clock. He says that he felt stumped while answering the simple question and he might need the pitch clock to answer quicker. The Yankees have shared a video of the moment on Twitter.

In the video, Judge said, “Yeah, you know what, I felt like I was on Jeopardy or something. They keep catching me off-guard with these questions they bring, you know? They’re simple, easy questions. But in the moment, you know. I think I need the pitch clock, you know? So I can speed up a little bit.”

This is a cheeky reference to the pitch clock, something that has divided fans’ opinions and left many stars unhappy. Judge joined spring training early after signing a behemoth $360 million contract. Getting back to the pitch clock, the Yankee captain seems to have a positive view of it but will be more focused on winning.

Aaron Judge has signed a new contract and was named the New York Yankees captain. The star outfielder’s sole focus is to win a World Series title with the Yankees.
