WATCH: Twins’ Star Slugger Makes Lucky Escape From Near Life-Threatening Injury in Dugout Fiasco With Teammate

Minnesota Twins’ superstar Gary Sanchez made a narrow escape from possibly joining a lifetime injury list. Sanchez got inches near to being hammered by a swinging bat. He must thank his fate that nothing horrific had ultimately occurred during Sunday’s game. Gary Sanchez is a catcher for the Minnesota Twins. He made his MLB debut with the New York Yankees. Sanchez is a two-time All-Star player. He holds the MLB record for being the fastest catcher, surpassing the 100 home runs mark. 

The Twins were playing against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. It was the concluding game of the series between both teams at Guaranteed Rate Field. Twins outfielder Gilberto Celestino was practicing his bat swing before walking in to bat. Sanchez walked straight past the bat.

Gary Sanchez almost flew out of the ballpark 

Gary Sanchez is famous for his hard-hitting skills. He is a champion at the art of smashing home runs. Sanchez is a pitcher’s nightmare, who can tear through any pitching line-up. However, he was almost on the receiving end of Sunday’s game.

Sanchez wasn’t about to be hit by any opposition pitcher, but rather by a batter. That too, a batter of his own team, on that note. Sanchez was preparing for his chance at the plate at the top of the eighth inning. At the same time, Gilberto Celestino was warming up with some bat-swing practice. 

An absent-minded Sanchez carelessly walked towards Celestino’s direction. The bat luckily missed either Sanchez’s head or face. Celestino then got seen taking a sigh of relief. Although, none of the batters had their luck shine for them during their individual performances.
