Being the face of the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge has not only earned the adoration of the Pinstripes fans but also has led him to become a stalwart in the clubhouse. His 2022 AL MVP-winning season has only added to his stature. Most people would do anything to have Judge’s memorabilia, but his teammate Giancarlo Stanton refused it in favor of buying an alcoholic beverage that he likes.

It is no secret that Judge and Stanton have developed a strong friendship as teammates since the latter joined the Yankees. Furthermore, as fellow outfielders. But despite this strong relationship, Stanton chose a Margarita over Judge’s memorabilia. Let’s find out why!

Giancarlo Stanton picked $100 to buy a Margarita over Judge’s trading card

Trading cards are an important part of baseball and have been so for decades. Aaron Judge is one of MLB’s best players and his trading card is much sought after. But when asked to choose between Judge’s trading card and a $100, Giancarlo Stanton picked the money. He then elaborated on his answer, saying that he would buy a margarita with the money. In particular, he wanted to buy a margarita from Guanabanas. This took place during an interview for a YouTube short.

When asked what he would choose, Stanton said, “You know, I get the cash and go to Guanabanas over there and get a nice little Margarita.” Stanton thought for a few seconds before picking the $100. This was a fun game for the star outfielder to play, with a choice that may raise some eyebrows.

In terms of baseball, both Judge and Stanton are integral to the Yankees’ success. This has been seen with how much the team has struggled offensively in their absence. Stanton got injured and Judge followed with an injury of his own. The return date for Stanton is unknown, with experts predicting it to be late May or early June. But recently, Bronx Bombers manager Aaron Boone provided a positive update on Judge.

Aaron Judge could be back on the team early next week

In a recent press conference, Yankees manager Aaron Boone provided a positive update regarding Aaron Judge. The Yankees’ captain is currently suffering from a hip strain. During a recent press conference, Boone addressed Judge’s injury and stated that it was a close call to put him on the injured list. Furthermore, he stated that the Yankees’ captain could be back early next week. This is a huge bonus for the team as they struggle to win games.
