‘Great to Be Back’- Yankees Legend Derek Jeter Returns Back to the Bronx While Promoting His Upcoming ESPN Docu-Series ‘The Captain’

Derek Jeter is not an ordinary name for the New York Yankees. The former World Series-winning captain has become a symbolic identity for the Pinstripes. Just like Jeter donned the Pinstripes’ uniform with pride, the Yankees fans also take his name with pride.

There have been many skilled players in baseball, even better than Derek Jeter. But the game of baseball will probably never see a captain and leader as fantastic as the former Yankee. Considering his legacy, leading sports media house ESPN filmed a documentary on how Jeter become a legendary captain.

Since Jeter has retired from the game, he does not visit the Bronx very often. But this time, he did not miss the opportunity to come back to his favorite place. The former Yankee captain visited the Bronx and interacted with fans in the Yankee Stadium while promoting his upcoming documentary series ‘The Captain.’

But the Yankee Stadium was filled with fans on Thursday, just to get a glimpse of their legendary captain. Notably, Jeter and ESPN held a screening of ‘The Captain’ in the Bronx.

Taking to Twitter, Jeter expressed his emotion after his recent visit to the Bronx, while he also asked the fans to come on September 9th this year. Notably, the Yankees will celebrate the Hall of Fame induction tribute night to honor their legendary captain for getting his name etched in Cooperstown.

“Great to be back in the Bronx last night. Hope to see you all at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 9,” Jeter Tweeted.

Talking about ‘The Captain,’ the ESPN-produced documentary is a seven-episode series. Jeter will discuss his journey, struggle, and success in the upcoming series. It will be premiered from the 18th of July onwards on ESPN and ESPN+.
