‘He’s Been Hot All Year’- Yankees Stars Rally Behind Teammate Aaron Judge for ‘Excellence’ Amidst Conversations of Leaving the Clubhouse

Even though the New York Yankees kicked off the second half of the 2022 MLB season with a couple of defeats against the Houston Astros, Aaron Judge has been the biggest positive for the Pinstripes in the last few games.
The Yankees slugger ended the first half of the season with 33 home runs in his name. And now, after the All-Star break, Aaron Judge is having an even better time from the plate. He has already hammered four home runs in the last five games. However, the most disappointing thing is that the Yankees have lost three of the last five games.

But once again, Aaron Judge came as a savior and made sure the Yankees won the game and the three-game series in the Camden Yards. Judge smashed a two-run home run against the Orioles. He has been so good that his teammates heaped praise for his brilliant outings.
How far will Aaron Judge take the Yankees this season?
With 37 home runs already to his name, the Yankees slugger is all set to break a couple of records by the end of the current season. If things do not go south in the latter part of the season, Aaron Judge has a golden opportunity to become a Yankee with the most home runs in a season, breaking Roger Maris’ record of 62 homers.
Talking about his red-hot form, Judge’s teammate DJ LeMahieu declared him the best player in the game right now.

“He’s so consistent. It’s like he’s been hot all year,’’ DJ LeMahieu said. “That’s extremely difficult. No matter what level of player you are, it’s impressive. And to do it at the level he’s doing it at, he’s the best player in the game right now.”
The Yankees ace Nestor Cortes Jr., who is also having an extraordinary season, also expressed his view on Judge’s phenomenal run.
Aaron Judge homered again. That's four in five games since the All-Star break. He's 8 for 17 with 11 RBIs during that stretch. And he's now got 37 home runs, seven more than anyone else in the big leagues.

“It’s incredible,’’ Nestor Cortes said. “Everything he does, from the moment he steps into the clubhouse to the moment he’s out there stretching to when he’s playing the game. Everything about him is excellence.”
The Yankees have not won the World Series since the 2009 season, and with Aaron Judge by their side, they seem to have an excellent shot at ending their title drought in the Bronx. And it might also be the last time for Judge to win it for the Yankees. Notably, he is in his last year of the contract and has yet to sign the extension.
