The October campaign is heating up as the teams fight for their division league trophy, eyeing the World Series. However, these fights not only occur on the field; but some teams also use clever strategies to deal with their opponents off-court. The Houston Astors‘ manager has come up with a unique approach to weaken opponents, gaining attention in the postseason. Instead of criticizing or pointing fingers at the opponent to prove them weak, he followed an unexpected war strategy on one of the Minnesota Twins players that probably worked a bit on him.

The division league games are on. Both NLDS and ALDS teams are fighting for the trophy, and the next turn is of the Minnesota Twins and the Houston Astros. Just a day before the fight, Dusty Baker claimed himself and his wife, the fans of the former team’s shortstop Carlos Correa. He overwhelmingly praised the former Astros player, and fans considered it his strategy to soften the player before the actual division series fight.

While talking about the impending game against the Minnesota Twins, the Astros’ manager revealed his preference for Correa. After these statements went live, the Astors reporter Brian McTaggart on Twitter posted the reply from the Twins’ shortstop. The player mentioned that his wife, with teary eyes, showed him the statements of Baker. He continued to express his gratitude, saying, “It truly means a lot.” Further, Carlos continued, “Dusty is a man that I respect so much. As a manager, he was always great to me. We built a great relationship.”

However, fans are suspecting Dusty’s intentions, as the upcoming ALDS game is an important one for both teams. While the Twins have broken their 19-year playoff curse this year and progressing towards the World Series, the Astros are also eyeing for the same.
