Derek Jeter’s raw take on missing out on unanimous election
Derek Jeter got inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2020 with a total of 99.75% first-ballot votes. This means, he lacked one vote, that could have made his election unanimous. Jeter often gets asked about which individual in his guess didn’t vote in his favor. There was a repetition of the query in his recent interview on CBS Mornings as well.
Maintaining his calm demeanor, Jeter replied, “You know what? Look, let me start. I don’t know who it is, I don’t care who it is. But I think a lot of times, the members of the media, they say, often you have to be accountable and responsible. So I think they should answer that question as opposed to me getting asked that question, every time I go to some talk show.”
