Recently, the former Yankees captain made an appearance on the KayRod Cast with his ex-teammate Alex Rodriguez. When Michael Kay asked Jeter which pitcher he owned from the plate in his baseball career, Jeter had a very humble yet hilarious response.
Playing against Shigetoshi Hasegawa was just too easy for Derek Jeter
Watching Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez together was more of a nostalgia for the Yankees fans. When Michael asked Jeter which pitcher he owned, Jeter had the classiest response. First, the former Yankees captain denied that he ever owned any pitcher and then he revealed the name of the pitcher he was most comfortable with.
“I wouldn’t define it as owned, I would say most comfortable batting against Shigetoshi Hasegawa. I just always felt like it was 3-0, you know, regardless of the count,” Derek Jeter said.
