However, when she was scouted by a modeling agency, she had to make a difficult decision to leave her tennis career behind. Though she’s found success in the modeling world, the wound of giving up her first love is still fresh. In 2021, she told the Editorialist, “It was devastating when I gave it up,” she says, adding that she hasn’t picked up a racket in years. “I don’t know how to play for fun, because I played to compete, to win. I hope one day I can get back into it. I think that would be sort of healing for me.”
