Struggling NY Yankees Slugger, Draws Interest From Three Teams, Less Than 48 Hours From Trade Deadline, After Admitting He ‘Didn’t Play Well as a Yankee’

The New York Yankees slugger Joey Gallo has already talked about his struggles with the team and how he didn’t play well. The slugger is again in the headlines ahead of the MLB trade, which is in less than 48 hours.

This time because of other teams’ interest in him. Gallo is a two-time all-star player who has been playing for the New York Yankees since last year. He has signed a one-year contract, which is now about to end.

He didn’t play well as a Yankee

The Major League Baseball’s trade deadline is Tuesday at 6 pm E.T. People are yearning for as to what is going to happen.

The Texas Rangers acquired Gallo in the first draft, and he debuted in 2015. The Rangers traded him in 2021 to the Yankees.

Having won two Gold Glove Awards, the slugger has struggled in his time with the Yankees. At Yankees Stadium on Thursday, Gallo said, “Every time I see a Yankees hat, every time I see a Yankees jersey, it’s something I’m going to have to understandI didn’t play well as a Yankee. I wish I had.”

We hope for his struggle to end. He is a two-time all-star player and deserves a lot more. 

Multiple teams are interested in Joey Gallo

The MLB trade is in less than 48 hours, and the wait for the same is nail-biting.

With the deadline approaching soon, it is still unclear if and where the available players would go. Furthermore, the players who are still available for the trade include Shohei Ohtani, Martin Perez, Joey Gallo, Joc Pederson, Juan Soto, and many others.

Gallo’s contract with the Yankees is up, and the latest addition of Andrew Benintendi to the team makes it indisputable that he will be traded into a different team. However, there are teams who still believe in Gallo and are willing to take him to their team.

Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, and Tampa Bay Rays are the teams interested in the outfielder. Whatever happens, the trade is going to be interesting to watch. The mix and match of the players will definitely be making headlines. And fans are desperate to see where their favorite players will go.
