Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout are two of MLB’s top superstars. Even though they have not led the Los Angeles Angels to any silverware, Trout and Ohtani remain the faces of the league. This leaves them to enjoy their individual success year after year, even after their continuous failure with the Angels.

The Angels’ top brass have failed to surround Trout and Ohtani with the talent to achieve team success. Furthermore, they are the only active MVPs who have not won a single postseason game. Thanks to their immense popularity, most recently, Ohtani and Trout added another feather to their cap of glittering individual success. While doing so, they even joined a very exclusive club in MLB.

Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout have achieved all there is to achieve as individual stars. But most recently, they were added to a very exclusive club on MLB The Show 23. Ohtani and Trout were both welcomed to the diamond club for receiving Diamond ratings on MLB The Show 23. The two superstars both received 99 overall ratings within the 2023 edition of the game. The Los Angeles Angels Twitter account shared a video of the two receiving their special Diamond cards.

In the Tweet, they said, “Two superstars, one @MLBTheShow Diamond Club 💎 #23DiamondClub”. This is a huge achievement for the two. With this, the Angels are the first team to have two 99 overall-rated players at the same time.
