Max Scherzer is all set to make his comeback into the active roster of the New York Mets. The Mets ace has missed more than a month of the game after suffering a strain in his left oblique muscle. The three-time Cy-Young Award winner has not played many games this season. But this time, Scherzer will hope to play his best game for the Mets.
Notably, while recovering from his oblique injury, Scherzer was part of the Mets’ Double-A affiliate, Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Earlier this week, Scherzer made his second start for the minor league team, and now he will join his Mets teammates for the big league games. But before leaving the Ponies, Scherzer did something so incredible that many people might not be aware.

Yes! If reports are true, then the Mets ace provided a treat to his minor-league teammates. Although it is not a big deal for a player as big as Scherzer to give a treat to someone, it needs the right mindset to do something like that. And Scherzer is one such big-hearted guy.
Max Scherzer gifted AirPods to his minor-league teammates
Per Fox Sports, the 37-year-old veteran pitcher gave a treat to his Rumble Ponies teammates after an 8-3 victory over the Hartford Yard Goats in Connecticut. He spent around $7,000 from his pocket for dinner for his Rumble Ponies teammates.
Apart from an expensive dinner for everyone, Scherzer also gifted a pair of AirPods to the Rumble Ponies players. “He bought everyone AirPods. We walk in, and there’s a clubbie just handing out AirPods saying they’re from Max,” said a source to Fox Sports.
