Aaron Judge is going through the best phase of his professional career. The New York Yankees star is the top vote-getter among all MLB players in the first round of All-Star balloting. Given his red-hot form in the ongoing MLB season, it is not any surprise.

What is more surprising is that the Atlanta Braves star, Ronald Acuna Jr., has received more votes than Mookie Betts to make it to the MLB All-Star game. Notably, the Braves outfielder did not play the first three weeks of the 2022 season because of his ACL injury. Even now, after playing for a month in the current season, Acuña is on the Injured list. And yet, the 24-year-old received more votes than the Dodgers star.

Judge and Acuna are the top vote-getters from their respective leagues. Notably, whoever gets the most votes in each league will get an automatic spot in the starting line-up of the MLB All-Star game. The All-Star game will be played at Dodger Stadium on July 19.

Aaron Judge beat Mike Trout by a huge margin to become the most vote-getter in MLB

With 3,762,498 votes, the Yankees star has received the most votes for the MLB All-Star game. Judge has got over 400,000 more votes than his American League rival, Mike Trout (3,381,758). Another Yankees star, Giancarlo Stanton (1,268,2840) was the fourth most vote-getter in the American League.

Talking about the National League, Acuna (3,503,188) was slightly ahead of the Dodgers star Mookie Betts (3,479,480). He beat Betts by less than 24,000 votes to top the National League.

With 29 home runs already hit, Aaron Judge is on a pace to smash over 60 home runs in the 2022 MLB season. Apart from being an exceptional hitter, Judge has been a fantastic leader for the Pinstripes.

Ronald Acuna Jr., on the other hand, has hit only seven home runs in 167 at-bats. And the Braves star still received more votes than Mookie Betts, who has hit 17 home runs in 245 at-bats for the Dodgers. Betts has been one of the best performers in the entire MLB this season.

The reigning AL MVP, Shohei Ohtani, is also in the beast mode. And just like the 2021 season, Ohtani has been the best two-way player this season. But the only thing that might prevent him from retaining his AL MVP Award is the Angels are not winning games.

Who do you think will become the AL MVP in 2022?
